Akar collects as little as possible. This notice explains what happens when you register your interest through this site.
Who is responsible
Akar is currently operated by the Akar founding team. For privacy questions or requests, email main.caption@captionato.tech.
What we collect
When you register interest, we collect:
- the email address you enter;
- the date and time of the submission;
- the page from which the form was submitted; and
- the privacy-notice version shown at submission.
Our hosting provider may also process basic security logs, such as an IP address, browser information and request time, to operate and protect the site. Raw IP addresses are not stored with Akar's interest records.
Why we use it
- to contact you directly about Akar and the shirts in development;
- to invite you to occasional product research or an interest study;
- to respond to a question or privacy request; and
- to protect the form and site from misuse.
We do not use this information for automated profiling or automated decisions about you. This form does not subscribe you to a newsletter.
Your choice
Providing an email address is optional. When you choose “Register interest”, you consent to the uses above. You can withdraw that consent or ask us to stop contacting you at any time by emailing main.caption@captionato.tech.
How long we keep it
We keep an interest record for up to 1 year from the latest registration. We delete it sooner if you ask, unless a limited record must be retained to meet a legal obligation or resolve a request.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold information about you;
- give you access to it or correct an inaccuracy;
- stop contacting you or withdraw your consent; or
- delete your interest record, subject to legal obligations.
You may also raise a concern with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Commissioner.
How we protect it
We limit what we collect and who can access it. Email addresses are encrypted at rest, and the operator view requires private authentication. No internet service can promise absolute security.
Cookies and measurement
Akar does not use advertising cookies on this V1 site. Strictly necessary storage may be used to protect the private operator area and keep the site working.
